In less than 12 hours, and with the participation of 734 citizens, #QuerellaBorbón raised the necessary quantity (12.000€) to comply with the bail required by the Tribunal Supremo. This bail is necessary to exert as popular accusation in the lawsuit against 7 persons, the ex-Head of State of Spain 👑, among them. The private prosecutors aim at opening a judicial process for the Tribunal Supremo to investigate possible offenses - such as influence peddling, bribery or misappropriation- that could have taken place during the contract awarding of the high-speed train AVE to Mecca. The requirement of the bail does not imply that the lawsuit has been accepted for consideration yet, so we will keep you posted on future developments.

Popular lawsuits or accusations have always been very successful in Goteo, setting records not only in fundraising but also in citizens’ participation. We will always remember the campaign #CrowdfundPaRato, promoted by 15MpaRato, which took place back in 2012. Due to all their legal actions in the last 6 years, Bankia has had to return 2.000 million euros 💰 to small stock owners, 2.800 million euros to the preferentistas and Rodrigo Rato is in prison due to the Black Credit Cards case. And the cause has not finish yet.

Neither has finished the cause of the victims of the dictatorship to access justice and reparation, as La Comuna shows in the campaign Juicio a Martín Villa. Martín Villa was minister of different departments during the last years of the dictatorship, and is accused, among others, of being responsible for the repression and slaughtering that took place in Victoria in march of 1976. There are only 5 days left for their campaign to finish, back them if you share their cause!

Today we will be in Madrid, in the Social Economy Office of Madrid City Council, participating in the II Jornadas sobre Financiación para la Economía Social and sharing our model and the experiences of campaign’s promoters such as La Marea and their #PorTodas campaign.

And we continue with our Fundlabs, the workshops we are organizing for public and private institutions, as well as enterprises, interested in getting to know the hybrid model of financiation we promote from Goteo Foundation.
